An Unexpected Gift from Mom

My mom bought a Nespresso machine for me after looking on the Cuppabean site, and I didn’t know what to do with it. I’ve never been that much of a coffee drinker, so I wasn’t sure why my mother bought it for me in the first place. She said that she thought I would be able to find a good use for it, but I think she was just on a shopping spree and wanted to buy as much stuff as possible. She didn’t give me any coffee to go along with the machine, so I had to go to the store and buy some. They always have this section where you can grind coffee beans and fill a sack with the grounds.

Since my mom bought a refillable pod to use with the machine, I can put grinds in it from any source. At the store, there were a few different kinds of coffee beans, and i really didn’t know which one to get, so I got some of them all and decided to just sample them until I found one that I liked the best. After loading the grounds into the machine and tasting the coffee, I found one that I liked more than the others, but I added some cream and sugar to it. Some people like to drink their coffee black with nothing in it, but I’m not one of those people.

I told my friends about the machine and they wanted to come over and make some coffee too. It was a good thing they did, because there was no way I was going to drink all of the coffee that I bought before it started to lose its freshness. My friends can drink their coffee black and laughed when I told them that I added cream and sugar to mine. They say that the black coffee flavor is the best, but I just think it tastes bitter. Maybe it’s one of those acquired taste things.
