People ask me why I love to travel. Well for me these are life experiences that I will never forget. For me, seeing these sights is worth every bit of time, money and effort. To surf a perfect wave at Sunset Beach, Hawaii. To arrive at the Manila airport and have thousands of people engulf you. To see the golden Buddha in Bangkok. To wake up in a bungalow 50 ft. from the beach with pure white sand for $2.00 a night in Thailand. To walk the streets of Kathmandu, Nepal and be transported back into the 15th century. To climb Kala Pattar and see Mt. Everest so close you can reach out and touch it. To witness a cremation from 10 ft. away. To gaze at the Taj Mahal, a monument from a prince to his wife. To dive for lobsters in Sri Lanka, and get 10 in 10 minutes. To take photos for Surfer Magazine at Nias Island, Sumatra where headhunters existed until W.W.II. To sit on the beach at Bali, Indonesia watching 20 sunsets in a row, each one incredibly better than the first. To wake up in the middle of the night camping in Perth, Australia and see kangaroos hopping around. To take a bus from Perth to Sydney across the Nullabor, where the road is completely straight for hundreds of miles. To have a beer with the mates in Auckland, New Zealand. To have a knife pulled on you in Tonga. To drink kava with the natives in Fuji. To snorkel on a pristine beach in American Samoa. To taste the best Chinese food in Hong Kong. To gamble in the casinos of Macao. To admire the clean country of Singapore. To visit a movie set in Bora Bora. To experience the French in Tahiti. To ride buses and trains from San Diego to La Paz, Bolivia. To see the wonderful museum of Natural History in Mexico City. To gaze at the dense jungles of Guatemala. To rent a house with friends on the beach in El Salvador and surf perfect waves every day. To view the destruction of a major earthquake in Nicaragua. To marvel at the beautiful women in Costa Rica. To admire the molas of the Indians of Panama. To explore 17th century forts in Cartegena, Colombia. To lay on a pristine beach in Santa Marta, Colombia and gaze at 12,000 ft. snowcapped peaks. To explore the morning markets in a rural village in Equador. To surf one of the longest waves in the world in Chicama, Peru. To be on a bus in the mountains of Peru and get stuck in a snowstorm where 28 people died. To fly over the plains of Nazca and see 3000 year old drawings in the desert. To hike the Inca trail to Macchu Picchu and camp in ancient Inca ruins. To watch the sunset over Lake Titicaca in Bolivia. To take off from the highest airport in the world. To arrive in Maricaibo, Venezuela on a ship. To sail into the harbor at Rio de Janeiro, one of the most awesome harbors in the world. To see 2 lb. Steaks in Buena Aires, Argentina. To see the fires from the oil fields on Terra Del Fuego. To navigate the Straight of Magellan and see all the wrecked ships that didn't make it. To sample the wonderful wine of Vina del Mar, Chile.To see Mt. McKinley on a clear day in Alaska. To see the Northern Lights in Fairbanks. To visit Expo 86 in Vancouver, British Columbia. To sail through the Hawaiian Islands over 100 times. To have the Captain wake up everyone to see a volcano shooting over 1000 ft. in the air near Hilo. To sail out of Maui in 10 minutes notice due to a tidal wave warning. To outrun Hurricane Iwa. To climb fifty 14,000 ft. peaks in Colorado. To snorkel the crystal blue waters in the Grand Caymans. To cliff dive in Jamaica. To watch the parades during Mardi Gras in New Orleans. To take the final few steps to the roof of Africa on Mt. Kilimanjaro. To watch hundreds of elephants in Tanzania. To share laughter with children in Zanzibar. To gaze in awe of the ancient monuments of Egypt. To ride a camel at the pyramids at sunset by yourself. To snorkel in the clearest water ever in the Gulf of Aqaba in Dahab, Egypt. To watch a sunset from the highest tower of Angkor Wat, Cambodia. To fire a rocket propelled grenade launcher in Phnom Penh. To sample rum from the worlds oldest distillery on Barbados.To enjoy La Paz, Mexico with my dad and brother. To marvel the oceans treasures on the island of Dominica. To view the 17th Century forts guarding the harbor at Old San Juan, Puerto Rico.To experience Queensday in Amsterdam. To view the Acropolis in Athens. To sail into the caldera at the island of Santorini, Greece .To taste fresh calamari on Naxos. To enjoy some of the best wall diving in the world at San Salvador, Bahamas......  And the journey continues…….
